Move Client – Nordstrom Rack

BTI helps businesses through the critical “in-between” phase of a project, when everything has been ordered but nothing is on the sales floor yet. That was the case for the new Nordstrom Rack at The Landing at Hyannis, where BTI’s role was to manage the steady flow of store fixtures and equipment before opening day.
Weeks ahead of the grand opening, Nordstrom Rack shipped virtually everything needed for the new store to our Hanover, MA warehouse. That included shelving, fixtures, hanging systems, mannequins, lighting, décor, signage and even breakroom supplies. Rather than arriving in one massive delivery, these items showed up in waves and had to be received, checked in and staged for the next step.
Once all shipments were accounted for, BTI consolidated the materials and coordinated final delivery to the Hyannis site and to various installers and trade partners. The objective was simple but critical: make sure the right pieces arrived at the right time so construction, installation and merchandising could move forward without delay.
By handling the receiving, storage, consolidation and delivery, BTI allowed Nordstrom Rack’s team and its contractors to stay focused on building out the store and preparing for customers. The project is another example of how BTI supports complex commercial work across New England with reliable warehousing, careful handling and on-time deliveries.
Next steps
As retailers continue to expand and renovate locations throughout the region, BTI stands ready to assist with the behind-the-scenes logistics that make those projects possible. Whether it’s a national brand like Nordstrom Rack or a local business getting ready for opening day, BTI can manage the flow of fixtures and equipment from warehouse to storefront so everything is in place when the doors open.
